Role Purpose

The role is to be an essential part of our customer growth and retention solution to provide outstanding customer service to our rental clients by providing prompt and accurate quotation to customers whilst maintaining and growing relationships with industry professionals. You will be an integral point of contact for customer enquiries. This role is key to the growth of the CEG brand, and therefore will provide the opportunity to help shape the growth of the company working directly with the company leadership team and provide prompt and accurate quotations to customers.

Reports To: Rental Sales Manager


Duties and Responsibilities:

Day-to-day you will be quoting for hires, sub-hire where is relevant and building relationships with new and existing customers and on-boarding new clients. You will need to:

  • Maintain front line customer relationships.

  • Provide initial customer contact, both via telephone and e-mail.

  • To provide accurate, timely and competitive quotes to our clients, in line with internal company guidelines, not limited to lighting, lighting control, rigging and power hire.

  • Seeking opportunities for further on-sales of technical solutions.

  • To stay up to date with the relevant technology and have a good understanding of the products you are working with.

  • It is expected that you will work with your team members to identify and flag any challenges before they arise, not limited to issues with the safe return of our hire equipment and sub-hire to our suppliers

  • Ensure that the company's policy's, procedures and legal obligations are fulfilled

Requirements:

  • To possess a polite, friendly and positive customer service manner

  • Ability to prioritise and manage workloads

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office/CRM and company software)

  • A strong focus on customer service.

  • Practical interest in electronics and systems (desirable).

  • Strong communication skills.

  • To be honest and trustworthy.

  • Confident and keen to see things through to completion.

  • Ability to work within a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines. As we support the events industry, we typically have busier periods and quieter periods and you must be able to adapt to this.

  • Sales administration / logistics.

  • Working under pressure, balancing needs of clients and the organisation.

  • Strong customer services abilities

  • The ability to effectively communicate In verbal and written form.

  • A clean and current full driving licence

  • To be trained in and be competent at loading and unloading vehicles

  • Willing to live within 30miles of CB22 3HB or willing to relocate.


Hours: 8.30-5.30, Monday to Friday.

Onsite work is flexible with weekends, evening and overnights possible.


Location: Unit 6a, Solopark Trading Estate, Station Road, Pampisford, Cambridge, CB22 3HB.

Salary range: Circa - £25,000 per annum, with scalable share of profitability bonus (increases with service).

Terms: This is a permanent full-time post, subject to references, interview, and practical assessment.


The offer is subject to a probation period of 6 months. This is a full-time post with some evening and weekend work required, for which you will be compensated.

Holiday entitlement for full-time employees is 20 days per annum plus bank holidays.
